It's the end of the school year and my calendar is fully loaded with class parties, summer potlucks, and neighborhood shindigs, all of which come with the responsibility of providing some sort of food. The last thing I want to do is step foot in a grocery store with all the other busy parents trying to fight for the last box of everything. Well, I'm going to let you in on a secret that will change your life:
Walmart has a FREE service that lets you order your groceries online and pick up at the store without even having to walk into the building. Mind-blowing, right?

At first, I was hesitant to switch up my grocery shopping routine, but one try with the online Walmart ordering system and I am officially hooked!
The whole process is really quite simple. I started by visiting the website, Walmart Online Grocery Pickup, browsed through the categories to get acquainted with the site, and added items into my e-cart with a single click. Once my shopping was complete, I selected my pickup time, and checked out.

One of the most fascinating parts of my online ordering experience was the pickup process. Upon receiving the email confirmation that my order was ready, I was able to "check in" via the Walmart Grocery app which alerted Walmart that I was on my way and again once I had arrived at the pickup destination. Right on cue, an employee came right out with my groceries and helped load my vehicle. The process couldn't have been any easier.

The real test came when I unloaded my frozen treats. I had concerns that they'd be over-thawed by the time I got home, but that wasn't the case at all. They were just as I would expect them to be if I had done the shopping myself. Victory!
And speaking of frozen treats, I found myself drooling over the variety of frozen desserts when I was browsing the Walmart website. Brands such as Popsicle®, Breyers®, GoodHumor®, and Klondike® offer their timeless classics as well as inventive new flavors. My most favorite new treat of all: Magnum® tubs - solid chocolate encases the rich, creamy ice cream and encourages its consumers to have a little fun with it by cracking it open with a spoon.
I may be a little late to the party when it comes to online grocery shopping, but as the saying goes, "better late than never." My only regret is that I hadn't tried it sooner. Believe me when I say that it will change how you grocery shop forever.
